Uploading job adverts to SEEK

SEEK (http://www.seek.com.au) is Australia's number one jobs site and a popular resource among Recruiters and HR professionals.

Recruit Online integrates with SEEK to allow for the automatic posting of your jobs to your SEEK account. When candidates apply to your jobs on SEEK they automatically arrive in your database.

What should I know about using Recruit Online to post jobs to SEEK?

Firstly you need to have an account with SEEK which has templates set up. We will need your client ID and the list of template ID's that you use. It is important to realise that SEEK will charge you according to your contract with them for the adverts that you place using your Recruit Online system. The means you will be charge for every time you place a new advert?

What Constitutes a New Seek Advert?

When using Recruit Online to post job ads onto SEEK, the following actions constitute a new or additional advertisement and will be counted and you will be billed by SEEK in line with your agreement with them. Recruit Online is not liable for any charges that you may incur from use or misuse of the Recruit Online job posting facility.

  • If a job is posted to SEEK using Recruit Online it is removed by setting "Upload To Seek:" to "No" or "On Website:" = "NO" or closing the job altogether. If that job is then reposted by setting "Upload To Seek:" to "Yes" it will be counted as a new advert regardless of time frame between import files. This practice is commonly known as refreshing.
  • In Recruit Online if a job is cloned using the "Copy / Clone" function it will have "Upload To Seek:" set to "No". If this value is changed to "Yes" then it will be uploaded to SEEK and be counted as a new advert.
  • If a job remains open in Recruit Online and "Upload To Seek:" is set to "Yes" beyond 30 days it will automatically be re-listed and counted as a new advert.
