Company: Add Job
From ROL Help System
In ROL, a new job or job advertisement is called a 'Recruiter Job'.
A new recruiter job may be inserted onto the database when you've received a job order, whether temp or perm, and would like to advertise it online and keep track of the applications and screening process.

Do you want to Advertise this Job?
Not all jobs entered onto Recruit Online need to be advertised. You can choose as to whether you would like to advertise your job or not.
For example, you may only want to list the job internally to screen candidates found on the database (possibly via the Recruiter: Search feature) and not advertised externally, or you may have decided that you have too many applicants and want to hide the job from being advertised for the time being.
In any case, as soon as you close the job Recruiter: Job Status, the job is removed from the website regardless.
Publish your job to the website, or make it visible internally only:
- Go to edit the job Recruiter: Edit Job
- 'On Website', set to Yes or No
- Yes is Advertised
- No is Not Advertised
You can go back and change this at any time.
Save the Details
Once you've entered all the information into the form:
- Click on Save Changes
- This will take the user directly to the job in the Recruiter Job View screen

FAQ
My job advertisement text looks awful & unformatted when I 'View Advert', but in the edit screen it looks fine?
This type of problem happens when text is copied & pasted from other sources (eg Word, Seek, etc) where many formatting characters are entered by the application itself and not always visible to the user. For example, 'white space' characters. There may be a few hidden in your advertisement text.
Best way to get around this, is to remove the phrase/paragraph completely, and type it in manually (not copy & paste).
For example, when viewing the job in 'View Advert', if the first sentence is showing like this:
"Our
client is looking for a self motivated individual to join the team at"
You would need to:
- Go into the edit screen of the recruiter job
- Remove the words/phrases of "Our" and "client"
- Re-type the words in manually
- Save changes
- Next, view the advert again ('View Advert' button) and check it.
When entering your advertisement text, you should always check your work by clicking the "View Advert" button to ensure it looks OK before it appears on your Job Search site. The look/formatting of your advert may have a negative effect on the candidates' applying for jobs!
